Preserving the Past.

Preparing the Future.

1735 Inc. is a nonprofit resource hub building a replicable framework for using public history, property revitalization, creative programming, and strategic partnerships to solve the interconnected community challenges facing cities worldwide.

WHO WE ARE

People. Property. Policy.

PEOPLE

We educate, connect, and support people through public history, community programs, creative projects, youth engagement, and access to resources.

Our work helps families, artists, property owners, educators, nonprofits, and neighborhood organizations find information, opportunities, and partners that can help them move forward.

PROPERTY

We help people better understand abandoned, blighted, vacant, inherited, and adjudicated property.

Through research, education, and partnerships, we help identify ownership issues, explore available resources, and find pathways for neglected property to become housing, businesses, cultural spaces, green spaces, or other community assets.

Policy

We help people understand how laws, government decisions, and public systems affect their homes, property, neighborhoods, and communities.

1735 uses research and public history to make complicated policies easier to understand, identify barriers, and help develop practical solutions that can improve communities.

We connect people to property, property to policy, and policy back to the people it affects.
